Macon Amateur Radio Club

About

We are an active club, with members to support you in your individual Ham Radio interest or niche. Mostly though we are a group of FRIENDS. Some have been licensed since the 1950s and there are others with just weeks in the hobby. We do accept those just interested in “what is amateur radio” and have no technical background, just as happily.

We have a 2 operating position HF station and VHF/UHV radios, several being DStar capable. There is Club and ARES HF Station license with the Club call: W4BKM and the ARES (Associated Group) operation under the WX4EMA callsign. Call sign selection is based on the operating activity. The stations are generally open to all licensed amateur radio operators.
